Muscari armeniacum, often called grape hyacinth, delivers a vibrant burst of color in early spring with its dense clusters of deep violet-blue, grape-like blooms. Ideal for mass plantings, edging, and naturalized areas, these compact bulbs create a beautiful, low-maintenance groundcover that returns reliably each season.
Highly valued by landscape professionals and garden centers alike, these durable bulbs are easy to grow and perfect for achieving that popular “blue river” effect in spring designs—adding both charm and visual impact to any setting.

PLANTING & GROWING INFORMATION
For best results, plant Muscari bulbs in the fall before the ground freezes. Set them about 3 inches deep in well-drained soil, spacing them densely—up to 15 bulbs per square foot—for a full, carpeted effect. These hardy bulbs are highly adaptable, thriving in both full sun and partial shade. Foliage often emerges as early as late winter, followed by vibrant blue blooms in mid-spring. After the flowering period, allow the leaves to die back naturally, as this process nourishes the bulbs for the following year. Every 4 to 5 years, consider lifting and dividing crowded clumps to maintain strong, consistent growth.
